"I met you at a conformation show two years ago shortly after adopting my Keeshond from Rescue (and after getting a 'show' puppy as well.) You were giving me...information regarding the value of adding Kelp (Sea Blend) to the diet and mentioned that it also helped with thyroid problems. So, I purchased a small quantity to try on my Rescue. When I adopted my Rescue, I knew beforehand that she had a thyroid condition, and when I got her she was on .3 mg of soloxine twice a day. She had a nice coat, but absolutely no undercoat. I started the kelp, but did not reduce the soloxine. I had her tested after she settled into her new permanent home and the tests showed that her soloxine needed to be reduced to .2 mg twice a day. Well, I finally got up the courage to reduce the soloxine to .1 mg twice a day. I waited and had her retested and the Vet couldn't believe it!!! I stated that I had been told that Kelp helps the thyroid and I had been supplementing her diet with Kelp(Sea Blend).
