- Digest Forte contains a very powerful blend of “biotic” ingredients - probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, and postbiotics that supports the dog’s optimal digestive balance. EpiCor® is a postbiotic and contributes to the promotion of a healthy gut microbiota that, in turn, contributes to the health of the digestive system itself as well as to other organ systems. ProbioSEB Duo™ is a synbiotic, a mixture of probiotic microorganisms and a prebiotic. The probiotic organisms include Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus coagulans, and Lactobacillus sporogenes. The synbiotic is complemented by the presence of the longer chain fructan, chicory inulin, and the yeast beta-glucans and mannanoligosaccharides (MOS).
- 75% of the immune system is in the digestive tract (called “gut-associated lymphoid tissue”), so whatever is good for the digestive tract also is good for the immune system. - Our Digest Forte formula is designed for dogs over 6 months of age. Our recommendation would be our Puppy Gold formula. - It is certainly okay for you to give your dog more than one of our supplements. If you are using two supplements, we recommend splitting them between AM and PM meals. Anytime you start a new supplement, we recommend you introduce it slowly with ½ of the recommended amount and gradually work up to the full amount over 7-10 days. Once your dog acclimates to the first supplement, you can introduce the second one on the same starting schedule.
