We reccommend puppies begin Puppy Gold at 12 weeks to avoid any instance of diarrhea. This allows the puppy time to make the transistion to a solid food diet. If administering for the first time start with ½ recommended amount and work up to full amount over 7-10 days. Puppies should remain on Puppy Gold until 12 months of age.

You can divide the total daily amount between the puppy's meals or an AM - PM meal schedule also works well. Again, begin slowly with ½ recommended amount.

You can begin as soon as you have confirmed pregnancy. Mom too, benefits from Puppy Gold throughout the course of gestation and lactation.

We do not recommend using other K9 Power formulas while using Puppy Gold on the developing puppy or mother while pregnant or nursing. This very comprehensive formula specifically designed for growing puppies, with the addition of a quality diet, will certainly be what your pup requires for optimal health. When the pup reaches 12 months of age our other formulas may be introduced. The best choice going forward would be our Total K9 of our Life Stage lineup.

Puppy Gold® is not only formulated for puppies but the canine mother, too, benefits from ingestion of Puppy Gold throughout the course of gestation and lactation.
